Emily grew up in the sunny San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, headed east to Pennsylvania and Virginia for school, work, and more school, and is thrilled to be back in LA so she can defend the Valley in person.
While away, she managed to wear some funny 18th century clothes for a while, get a Master's degree in History and Public History focusing on memorialization and memory and worked for numerous non-profits building and shaping their digital strategy and marketing plans.
She created Arrested Westeros, which combines screenshots of Game of Thrones with captions from Arrested Development. It works surprisingly well.
Her current focus is a bimonthly newsletter called Internet Explorers Club, as well as running a business selling nerdy merchandise with her sister and two close friends.
